Garistine is an attorney who has a passion for helping others plan, build, and problem-solve. In addition to practicing law, she owns a tax preparation franchise, and she is the co-founder of Faith Consulate, a church where she serves alongside her husband, Ben Simmons. During her career, she has practiced law with the North Carolina Banking Commission and taught accounting, business law, and tax courses at several universities.

Garistine earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Saint Augustine’s College, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from The Ohio State University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Saint Thomas University.
